Increased EDGE_FUNCTION_INVOCATION_TIMEOUT errors

Resolved

We have experienced an issue with an upstream provider that resulted in an increased level of 504 (timeout) error rates between 04:00 and 07:15 AM 2024-09-16 UTC. The issue only affected Edge Middleware and Edge Functions that run fetch requests to external endpoints. This has now been resolved.
